Just in time for Halloween, this gal built an elaborate nest in a small maple sapling. When I saw her she was just inches away from my face, causing me to jump back in surprise. “Oh! Hello there!” She didn’t seem bothered by my curiosity and photo-taking.

DAY: It feels soft, mild, gentle, but still wet from the early morning mist. The blue sky is behind a misty veil giving the day a melancholy feel…I hear birdsong for the first time in ages, as they dart back and forth enjoying my morning offerings

I have been ill for almost two months, but I am well on my way to a full recovery. It is a glorious feeling to feel well and healthy! Which we often take for granted. It has made me realise that we all need to take better care of ourselves, and not simply expect our bodies to manage all the shifts and changes we are all going through.
BODY: Recalibrating, resting, listening, integrating, settling.

Are we all still sleeping?
Many around us want to engage us in their fears and cynicism. I have felt this myself, seen it, read and acknowledged that its happening out there.
We need to accept and know that we are worthy – and that in our heart of hearts we know which direction to take, to find our own middle ground.
Feelings of ‘detachment’ from the everyday dramas we see and read of, gives us time to clear our mind and find clarity within. This is a good path to follow.

I listened to a lengthy discussion by someone who had never left their town, or their country. Yet they were convinced that they held the answers to the problems of our world.
It made me stop and think of how we ourselves limit our own scope, our vision and our true understanding.
We have the choice to seek truth and broaden our vision, bringing deeper understanding and compassion for our fellow man.
I am at the completion stages of writing a book about my extraordinary childhood in Africa. As I wrote, delving deep into the past with intricate detail, it brought up many deep old wounds.
Over the months I have come to realise:Forgiveness is key to balance and harmony.
I, (and others I know), am currently dealing with my past, which includes ancestral history, much of which needs deep healing, before we are able to find the inner peace we seek.
What I am beginning to understand more fully is that our own history needs to be accepted and honoured. Its all part of our current ’story.’
Our story, is entwined with that history – what ever has happened to us along the way – is what has shaped us into who we are, and who we are still becoming…
Often, it is through the most challenging experiences that we eventually rise up from it all and grow exponentially.

Life is about letting go
With every exhale,
As you fall asleep at night,
You follow life’s flow.
Stop resisting life
and holding on so tightly.
Its time to let go.
As the last leaves seem to cling to the trees, I wonder what I am still holding on to.
This is the time to recognize what we are resisting and allow ourselves to go with the natural flow of life … by letting go.
The next several months could possibly be bumpy too. Be aware and prepare as best you can.

PHYSICALLY: We have experienced Solar flares, eclipses, equinoxes, full moons and much more. Sleep may not come easily, then nights of deep sleep. Lack of appetite shifting into extreme hunger…

I read this recently and it explains so much of what is happening within relationships around the world. I have been concerned about the amount of hatred that is present in speeches given by leaders and the actions being taken against groups of people globally. Courage rooted in hatred and fear will eventually dissolve, but after having harmed people and the earth. We have seen this happen over and over again in our history. In destroying others we invariably destroy ourselves too.
Removing fear and hatred within our own minds takes courage. Because we are left feeling vulnerable without the protection of the monsters face to scare others with. As that monstrous face peels of, the authentic, genuine…
