The Pause…

DAY: It feels soft, mild, gentle, but still wet from the early morning mist. The blue sky is behind a misty veil giving the day a melancholy feel…I hear birdsong for the first time in ages, as they dart back and forth enjoying my morning offerings

FEELING:

I have been ill for almost two months, but I am well on my way to a full recovery. It is a glorious feeling to feel well and healthy! Which we often take for granted. It has made me realise that we all need to take better care of ourselves, and not simply expect our bodies to manage all the shifts and changes we are all going through.

BODY: Recalibrating, resting, listening, integrating, settling.

THE COLLECTIVE:

Are we all still sleeping?
Many around us want to engage us in their fears and cynicism. I have felt this myself, seen it, read and acknowledged that its happening out there.

We need to accept and know that we are worthy – and that in our heart of hearts we know which direction to take, to find our own middle ground.

Feelings of ‘detachment’ from the everyday dramas we see and read of, gives us time to clear our mind and find clarity within. This is a good path to follow.

INSIGHTS:

I listened to a lengthy discussion by someone who had never left their town, or their country. Yet they were convinced that they held the answers to the problems of our world.
It made me stop and think of how we ourselves limit our own scope, our vision and our true understanding.
We have the choice to seek truth and broaden our vision, bringing deeper understanding and compassion for our fellow man.

I am at the completion stages of writing a book about my extraordinary childhood in Africa. As I wrote, delving deep into the past with intricate detail, it brought up many deep old wounds.

Over the months I have come to realise:Forgiveness is key to balance and harmony.

I, (and others I know), am currently dealing with my past, which includes ancestral history, much of which needs deep healing, before we are able to find the inner peace we seek.

What I am beginning to understand more fully is that our own history needs to be accepted and honoured. Its all part of our current ’story.’
Our story, is entwined with that history – what ever has happened to us along the way – is what has shaped us into who we are, and who we are still becoming…

Often, it is through the most challenging experiences that we eventually rise up from it all and grow exponentially.
