Come Forth Into the Light…

TODAY:

“Come forth into the light of things,
let nature be your teacher”
William Wordsworth

There was a sense of calm and stillness this morning…The world was easing its way back to a familiar routine. The sky was clear and blue, the air icy. The day unfolded like a safe soft bubble, whilst life out there, continued in a myriad of different directions…

ONE WORD: Awaken

COLOUR: White

HOW I FEEL:
“What can I do with my happiness?
How can I keep it, conceal it,
bury it where I may never lose it?
I want to kneel as it falls over me like rain,
gather it up with lace and silk,
and press it over myself again.”
Anais Nin

It was a festive Easter Saturday in Glastonbury. The Town filled to capacity wth visitors…Yet beneath that festive air, I sensed a complex intense energy running parallel with that.

Today, I feel uplifted, faith restored! This Easter I felt the need to focus on each day. I had a deep desire to go deeper into the meaning of Easter…Yesterday morning, as I sat before my Altar, tears filled my eyes, appropriate words were unimportant, there was an understanding and I felt a new level of deep within.

During a ‘waking dream’ I had a powerful experience: ’The Cross’ – I saw a three dimensional cross – past, present and future self – the thin line in the centre separating us from crossing over the ‘Bridge of Time’ to a new time. Many levels and layers of life were shown to me, how we are trying to balance or restructure our world, to bring ‘us’ back together in peace and love.

How ever you spent your Easter time, I hope that you took a moment to think about what it represents for you, adding to that, what it is you wish to ‘birth’ for your own life…

INSIGHTS:
You are every image, yet I am Homesick for You.
Rumi

Its a good time to enjoy your life, to do things that nourish and enrich you. Take time out from trying to understand or to fix your life…Visit places that feeds your heart and soul, do things you have been longing for but have put on hold…what ever that may be. I love music, the opera, museums, a massage, reading good books, sitting quietly close to water, walking amongst trees, eating ice-cream…whatever it is for you, do it! Nourish heart and soul.

THE COLLECTIVE:

Lets all breath in and then let it go – let us shed the way we have been living – as a grind, an all too familiar routine – its good to re-adjust things at this time of renewal. There is a need for us all to incorporate harmony into our days, as the world wobbles all around us…

Love’s Beautiful Eternal Story

Walking alone
Out well beyond the city noise
I kneel on Your sweet, Sacred Ground
A gentle worshipper no one can see
And in this magnificent Here
Your infinite Cathedral
The latticework and webwork of Life
Wraps around me like Vines of Light
And my aching heart breaks apart
Oh, this utter Beauty!
Far too much for one mortal Soul to feel and see
And all the shimmering Stars
Whispering their sweet Songs in Unison
Whirling their luminous Voices out into the darkness
Like me, all of them
Feeling this magical moment
Every life ever lived
Every song ever sung
Every world ever born
Snuggled up against each other Here
Listening, breathless
Like one heart beating, beating, beating
Like the only Treasure ever
Was this, Love’s beautiful eternal Story.

Losses and Great Gains…

“Your soul knows the geography of your destiny.

Your soul alone has the map of your future,

therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique side of yourself.

If you do, it will take you where you need to go,

but more important it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.”

John O’Donohue, Anam Cara

 i heard god today…

in the groan of the branch,

falling with the rain.

in the siren, the shouting,

and the blaring of horns.

in arabic prayers,

and tibetan chants.

in the glee of the child,

opening her gift.

in the silent moment,

standing by the grave.

in the groan of the old man,

hobbling down the steps.

in the bark of the dog,

the creak of the door flung open.

in the stillness just after

all guns were laid down.

in silent tears unshed,

and the clasping of hands…

i heard god today.
