Losses and Great Gains…

“Your soul knows the geography of your destiny.

Your soul alone has the map of your future,

therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique side of yourself.

If you do, it will take you where you need to go,

but more important it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.”

John O’Donohue, Anam Cara

 i heard god today…

in the groan of the branch,

falling with the rain.

in the siren, the shouting,

and the blaring of horns.

in arabic prayers,

and tibetan chants.

in the glee of the child,

opening her gift.

in the silent moment,

standing by the grave.

in the groan of the old man,

hobbling down the steps.

in the bark of the dog,

the creak of the door flung open.

in the stillness just after

all guns were laid down.

in silent tears unshed,

and the clasping of hands…

i heard god today.

Farewell Mandela…’parting is such sweet sorrow…’

“It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given,

that separates one person from another.”

Nelson Mandela.

Hamba Gathle!

Go well and in peace – at last Madiba!

True greatness reflects in the true use of power – and you managed to find a deep and profound forgiveness in your heart and soul…. and refused to give into hatred and anger.

It is love which carried you through – and it is the heart of a rainbow nation you won in the end…. because your wisdom shone through it all.

Go lion of Africa – your ancestors welcome you home to the Halls of Amneti…

And Africa is rising again….

Nkosi S’keleli Africa –

God bless Africa and sons and daughters….

will say this one final time…

there be but one race of people,

the human race.

and whether we accept it or not,

we are responsible both to and for

each other.

Perhaps the Earth’s greatest leader, Nelson Mandela, has gone home to God but he left large footprints for all to follow. His path points in a clear direction, toward: love, forgiveness, trust and a rainbow world filled with diversity that honors uBuntu/Oneness. I am because You Are. Thank you Nelson Mandela for being the change we wish to see in the world. You were that.

if peace be the journey…

let this breath be the bridge.

let us seek not to win,

but to forgive.

not redemption, but to redeem.

not to hold, but to give.

let us seek not love,

but let us love…

be at peace, Nelson.

The Invisible Thread…

“There are those days when it’s hard to put one foot in front of the other,

but those are the days when champions are created.”

DAY: cold, bright, discord

WORD: challenge

COLOUR: red

FEELING: solitary

BODY: resisting

THE COLLECTIVE: a desire for love….

INSIGHTS: Long long ago and far, far away, 2 ‘almost humans’ came together for the purpose of going to a place called Earth to explore and have an adventure of being ‘only human.’ They were in joy, in love, in sinc and ready….

But, Earth was a hard school, with a harsher set of lessons but all too soon they drifted apart, drawn into world of ‘make believe.’ Finally the connection was lost and they lost touch.

Eons of time past, no word, no sign, no memory……

Then on a certain day, on the exact, perfect synchronised Timeline, invisible thread and magical Will…a thread was tugged, a feint echo of memory, their soul song whispered sweetly, but oh so silently, into their hearts….and as their heart opened wider, their mind and eyes too, with but the faintest recollection, yet it felt so true,  it sounded a call from Home…

The thread tightened and pulled, it became shorted and shorter….and it even began to glisten once more…for it originally had a golden hue.……

Each heard this call, this sound over and over…..and as they slept they sang…….and the call got louder and the thread tightened, it felt closer……It was not unlike Heaven, yet they knew that this was Earth!

And the day came when the sound and the tone and shining thread all met, and the 2 ‘almost humans’ could once more be at One, in sinc, in love and filled with love and a new found joy…They knew each other instantly, though they know not how…
